Southey Fire Department has one fire truck and one transport vehicle, plus a well trained 13 member volunteer group who provide protection for the town and rural municipalities:  The Fire Chief is Darrell Wagner.

The area is served by a seventeen person volunteer First Responder group trained in CPR and First Aid.  They are dispatched by EMS when the ambulance (911) is dispatched.
 

The Southey Health Centre houses the medical clinic (306-726-2233 or 306-924-1494) served by a doctor on a regular basis and the Southey Health Action Centre (306-726-2239).  The Health Action Centre is a community based health agency of the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region. The Health Centre takes direction from the Southey Health Council.  Programming emphasizes health promotion and community development through education, an acting resource centre, and by identifying health and service needs of Southey and area residents.  Services provided by the Health Action Centre are Child Health Conferences, immunization services, volunteer driving program, yard maintenance program,wheels-to-meals, blood pressure clinics, health counseling and school health services.  Services coordinated by the Health Action Centre are: Massage therapy, Foot care clinics, and access to other Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region Services (306-726-2239).
