Southey is located 55 kilometres north of Regina, the capital of Saskatchewan,
“The land of living skies”.
Southey is located at the junction of Highway 6 and Highway 22, just 55 kilometres north of Regina through the scenic Qu’Appelle Valley. Southey is also located on a line of the Canadian Pacific Railway. Southey is close to the Echo
Valley and Rowan’s Ravine Provincial Parks and is on the major north-south
Can-Am route from the U.S. border to Northern Saskatchewan. The
town has a growing population of 700 and serves an additional area

black sandy loam and silty clay soils suitable for supporting many different
crop varieties. Agriculture consists of mixed farming, grain, and oilseed,
plus other specialty crops. This aspen grove and grassland area is
also home to many species of animal life and birds.
